Late one night Evan is watching Godzilla vs. Mothra on TV when he hears a strange noise. He goes to the window and looks out. He watches his neighbor Alvin Jenkins take his garbage out, before another noise is heard. Jenkins looks around, before checking under the car. He jumps up to run, but something pulls him down and under the car as he's screaming. The noise happens again.
After a week of telling his story to the local police, two state troopers show up asking Evan to repeat it again. He tells them exactly what he saw and heard, and that it sounded like a monster. His mom tells him to explain what he was watching on TV, which he does, and the one trooper talks with him about it, claiming his partner likes the remake. The partner asks if Evan saw what it was, but he didn't - only that it pulled Mr. Jenkins under the car. Then the really scary sound, like a whining growl, as the monster left. They thanked him for his time, and left.
