Mr. J. Cooper owns and operates Cooper Carnivals. Back in 1981, Mr. Cooper worked for Bunker Brothers Circus as their lot manager. His dad owned and operated a freak show, before they were outlawed. |

In Medford, Wisonsin, as the Carnival was packing up to move to a different town, there was a murder, and the police show up at the Carnival since the suspect was a clown. All of the workers had alibis, so the police let them more on.
At Mishicot, Wisconsin, the Carnival was again suspect in two more murders that was done by a clown, however no one was found guilty. Two young fellas showed up, asking for Mr. Cooper, wanting to work, and claiming to have worked the circuit before. After a few questions it was obvious they had never worked a show in their lives. Cooper gave them a speech about how the carnival was for outcasts, but they should live regular. The big one told him they didn't want reguler, they wanted the circuit. Mr. Cooper gave each of them a job picking up trash.
That night he catches the bigger one in his trailer, messing with his bed. He pulls a gun on him, calls him a peeping tom, and then runs him out of his trailer.
Later Barry Papazian went missing, someone tore a brass pipe from the calliope, and there was a pile of clothes in the funhouse.
