Selection of Political Officials

Chapter 27 records the Administration of the Military. The selection of 12 Captains, each in charge of 24,000 men, one for each month of the year and the selection of 13 Princes (political officials) who were Councilors in military affairs, selected from various tribes, absent was Asher but two were taken from Manasseh, one from east Manasseh and one from west Manasseh. One was also taken from the Levites. David also selected men to take charge of his vineyards and his animal herds.
