Ahaz, the Twelfth King of Judah

Chapter 16 tells of the reign of Ahaz who was the 12th. and most evil King of Judah. He was 20 years old when he became King and reigned for 20 years. He was a "puppet" King under obligation to Assyria. He to was exposed to the prophesies of Isaiah. Micah and Hosea, but he did not place his faith in the Lord, rather he turned to the King of Assyria and purchased protection with the treasurers of the Temple. He died but was not buried in the tomb of the kings. His son, Hezekiah, became the 13th. King of Judah.
