The Reward of Humility

Chapters 10 thru 12 contain one vision and one prophecy, communicated to Daniel for the use of the church, not by signs as before, but by words. Daniel prayed daily and by humbling himself and fasting, he had a glorious appearance made to him by the Son of God. He is told that he will receive knowledge of future events that will be useful to him and to others and that he would be able to understand.
