Chapter 11 continues with this question from Moses. "What do you want, the blessing or the curse?" It would depend on whether or not they kept God's commandments. Moses gave them "helps" that would aid them to keep the commandments, but concludes with a warning, "It is up to you." "Obedience will bring blessings, disobedience will bring a curse."
