The Song

Chapter 32 records for us the above song. It dealt with:

1. The high character of God, versus the bad character of Israel.
2. A reminder of the great things that God had done for them.
3. A reminder of the disobedience and lack of faith that Israel had demonstrated.
4. A prediction of the judgments of God that would befall Israel.
5. A promise of destruction to their enemies.
6. A promise of a glorious deliverance for a remnant of Israel.

Then God ordered Moses to go up onto Mt. Nebo to die because he had not demonstrated faith at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh 39 years before. (Num. 20:8-12) "You shall see the land of promise, but you shall not go in."
