Some Good Advise

In this chapter, the author recommends to us some things we can do to ward off the vanities of this world or at least make to best of them.

1. Take care of our reputation.
2. Do not be frivolous.
3. Be calm of spirit.
4. Be prudent in the management of your affairs.
5. Be submissive to the will of God in all areas of your life.
6. Avoid all extremes.
7. Be mild and tender to those who have injured us. In short, keep our temper and maintain control of our passions.

He concludes by being sorry for his own sins, the having of many wives, which took him away from God and his duty.
