The Use of Wisdom
This chapter is much like Proverbs, it is a collection of "wise sayings".
The general recommendation to us is that we use wisdom in our conversation.
i.e.
- Wisdom should be used in the managing of our affairs religiously.
- Wisdom tells us that we should be obedient to our superiors,
especially if we have offended them.
- Wisdom tells us that we should live quiet and peaceful lives and not
get involved with those who are troublemakers.
- Wisdom tells us to govern our tongues.
- Wisdom tells us to diligent in our work and provide well for our
families.
- Wisdom dictates that we speak well of those in control.
As for those who are in control, he recommends the following:
- Be wise in the selection of people in places of trust and power.
- Let them manage themselves well and be generous, temperate in all
things.
Blessed is the nation that is governed by people who obeys these rules.
