Four Final Points
In this chapter, the Preacher closes his sermon and like a good Preacher, he
reiterates those things that he thinks will make the most impression and which
he hopes will be lasting with his listeners. Thus he makes four final points:
- His exhortation to young people. a. Begin early in the exercise of
your religion. Do not put it off to old age. b. He reminds them of
the changes of old age and the possibility of death at any time.
- His exhortation to all, that he has endeavored to prove in this
entire book, of the vanity in this world.
- His recommendation to all, the truths that are found in this book,
they are worthy of much thought and consideration.
- Finally, He strongly recommends that we be "religious" considering
the judgment that is to come.
