Chapter 5 deals with the demand of Moses before Pharaoh, to let the people of Israel go back to their home land of Canaan. Pharaoh responded by adding more work to their already unbearable workload. Moses was disappointed and asked the Lord, "Did you send me to Egypt to add to the troubles of the people of Israel?"
