This chapter contains ordinances relative to the seventh and eighth commandments. The seventh forbids fornication and here ordinances forbid the lying with an animal forbidden also is witchcraft and idolatry. The eighth forbids thief and here ordinances are written concerning trespass by cattle, damage by fire, trusts, the borrowing of cattle and the borrowing of money.
Included also are ordinances governing the offering of first fruits, care of the poor, responsibility to civil government and responsibility to the Jewish nation.
