In this chapter the prophecy is turned to Israel. Destruction came because of their idolatry. The extent of the destruction is described. Their altars would be destroyed and the bones of the people would be cast around them. Their cities and dwelling places would be destroyed. Then there is a promise of a remnant that would escape death and be scattered among the nations and shall loathe themselves for their abominations. Lastly, instructions are given to the Prophet and others to mourn the sins and the destruction of Israel.
