In the chapter we have a continuation of the prophesy against Egypt, a great deal of it we had in the proceeding chapter. A description is given of the several steps that King Nebuchadnezzar would take in the destruction of the once flourishing kingdom, the destruction of all her allies, confederates and interests and concerns. It tells of the sins of Egypt that gradually weakened them and prepared the way for the King of Babylon.
