Joseph and Potiphar's Wife

Chapter 39 continues with the story of Joseph. Here we see God's provision and protection of Joseph. As a slave in Potiphar's household, his presence is recognized as a blessing and soon he is made "overseer" of the house and put in charge of all that Potiphar had. As a member of the household, he became a temptation to Potiphar's wife who propositioned him. Joseph refused and to get revenge she trumps up charges against Joseph which resulted in him being put in prison.
