Chapter 43 shows the famine continuing, their supplies running out and the need to go back to Egypt for more grain. Judah pleads with his father to let them take Benjamin and go back down to Egypt and get more grain and their other brother, Simon. Jacob agrees and this time he sends some choice fruit, balm, honey, gum, myrrh, pistachio nuts and double the money for the grain. They return to Egypt where they are brought into Joseph's house. A feast is prepared for them and they wonder if they are going to be the guests or the entertainment. When they arrive, they question the steward about the money from the last trip. The steward assures them that he had gotten their money and that their God must have put the money into the bags.
Simon was then brought in to join his brothers and when Joseph comes in and sees Benjamin, he had to leave the room for he could not hold back the tears. Controlling himself, he returns to the room and orders the food to be served. Benjamin's portion was 5 times that of the others. Remember, Benjamin was only 7 years old when Joseph last saw him. He was now about 20 years old.
