Click here to read Genesis 45.

Chapter 45 continues with the plea of Judah. Joseph listens to his brother and then orders all the Egyptian attendants to leave the room and then with tears streaming down his face he tells them, "I am Joseph, your brother", then he grabbed his brother Benjamin and hugged him and also his other brothers. Then he asked, "Is my father still alive?" He explains to them how it was God's plan that he should go to Egypt and that there will still be 5 more years of famine and that they must go get their father and all must come into Egypt until the famine is over.

Now when Pharaoh heard that Joseph's brothers were in Egypt, it pleased him. He ordered Joseph to load their wagons with the best that Egypt had to offer and to have them take it back to their families. Then he invited them all to return back to Egypt and he would give them the best of the grazing land on which to dwell. He gave each of the brothers expensive garments and to Benjamin he gave 300 shekels of silver and five garments. To Jacob he sent 20 asses loaded with fine things from Egypt.
