Ephraim's Sins

Click here to read Hosea 13.

Chapter 13 reminds Israel that there was a time when people listened when they spoke but now that they worship Baal their doom is sealed. They shall disappear like chaff that the wind blows away. "I, alone, am your God." "I brought you out of Egypt, I took care of you in the wilderness, but now that your stomachs are full you have become proud and have forgotten me. Who can save you now? Where is your King? Where are all the leaders of the land? Ephraim's sins are stored away for his punishment. I offered him re-birth, but he refused. How foolish. He was called the most fruitful of all his brothers, but now the wind, the wind of the Lord, will dry up his land.
