Prophesies Concerning Moab

Here is a prophesy of the destruction of the country of Moab which bordered upon the land of Israel and had often been a problem to them. Though they were descendants of Lot, Abraham's nephew, and though they had been spared by the command of God when they could have easily been destroyed by the Israelites in the taking of the Promise Land, they here seem to have lost that favored position.

Here Isaiah laments over what he sees as problems for the Moabites. He sees a time coming when there will be great lamentations in the land as judgment is brought upon them by the Lord.
