The subject of this prophecy is unknown. It is referred to here as "the land shadowing with wings" and wherever it was, God had a quarrel with it. They had at some time threatened God's people. This was a warning to all of Judah's neighbors who might be considering such an action. Even though at times God does not seem to be concerned about the persecution of His people, He will in His own time right that persecution and bring judgment upon those who wrongly treat His chosen people. All this will be to the glory of God.
