This continues the same prophesied found in the last chapter. Woe to those who trusted in the Egyptians at the time of the Assyrian siege, a call to repentance and reformation and a reminder that God had, in the past, taken care of Jerusalem in time of need. Prophesied here is the defeat of the Assyrians and the rout of them that followed.
