A Prophesy About King Hezekiah

Click here to read Isaiah 32.

Prophesied is a period of prosperity and peace, following the destruction of the Assyrian Army. Symbolic, in a small way, to the joy and peace that would be brought by the Messiah. It appears to use the Reign of Hezekiah as a parallel to or fore runner of the conditions in the Kingdom of the Messiah.

He prophesies of the good work of reformation that shall typify his reign and the happy effect that it will have on the people who were so depressed by the reign of his predecessor. But it is not all a prophesy without problems, included is the prophesy of the invasion of the Assyrians in about the middle of his reign. It ends on a happy note in that he prophesies a happy ending to the invasion and continued peace thru the remainder of his reign.
