In this chapter gives an account of the Armies of Assyria that invaded Judah and besieged Jerusalem and the miraculous defeat of these armies. It is identical to the account found in II Kings Chapters 18 thru 20. In the previous chapter we had the Assyrians conquering, in this chapter, they are failing.
When Hezekiah heard the words of the Assyrian Rabshakeh, he became sore afraid. He sent his servants to see Isaiah to seek his council. Isaiah assured Hezekiah that the Lord would take care of Jerusalem and that Rabshakeh would return to his homeland and there die by the sword. All of this came to pass as Isaiah prophesied.
