This chapter continues the accusations and we see their sins abounding, but we also see Grace much more abounding. This chapter is a parallel to the teachings of Paul in Romans where it proclaims that where sin abounds, Grace much more abounds so what is here said of the "Redeemer" (v20) is applied to Christ (Rom. 11:26).
The Prophet describes the sins that brought judgment upon them and describes what the judgment was. In spite of this, the Prophet assures them of deliverance from this judgment, not for their sake, but for God's sake. He assures them of God's ultimate mercy.
