Spiritual Rebuilding

In this chapter the Lord promises "spiritual rebuilding". We can apply this to Israel after the exile or to the Church of Jesus Christ as described in Luke 4:17-21.

1. Church decay will be repaired.
2. The Gentiles will be made serviceable (acceptable).
3. The members shall form a Royal Priesthood. (When Jerusalem was destroyed, all the Priests were killed.) (The Priesthood of the Believers.)
4. That honor will be restored to its name. (The Church).
5. That it will prosper.
6. That righteousness and salvation shall become eternal in nature and reason for joy. (The Security of the Believer.)
