A Private Conference with the King

Jeremiah remained imprisoned but the king showed him much kindness. At the intercession of Ebed-melech, an Ethiopian and by special order from the King, Jeremiah was removed from the dungeon to the outer court of the prison where he had a discussion with the King. Much care is taken to make sure that the conference was private.
