Jeremiah's Prophesies

Having been removed from the dungeon to the outer court of the prison, Jeremiah has a conference with the king held in complete privacy.

Here Jeremiah foretells all of the following:

1. Jerusalem will fall after 18 months of siege.
2. King Zedekiah will attempt to escape but will be captured and sent to Babylon.
3. Jerusalem will be burnt to the ground.
4. All the people, accept the poor, will be carried captive to Babylon.
5. He, Jeremiah, would be taken care of by the Babylonians.

All of this came to pass exactly as Jeremiah had said.
