Jeremiah's Prophesies
Having been removed from the dungeon to the outer court of the prison,
Jeremiah has a conference with the king held in complete privacy.
Here Jeremiah foretells all of the following:
- Jerusalem will fall after 18 months of siege.
- King Zedekiah will attempt to escape but will be captured and sent
to Babylon.
- Jerusalem will be burnt to the ground.
- All the people, accept the poor, will be carried captive to Babylon.
- He, Jeremiah, would be taken care of by the Babylonians.
All of this came to pass exactly as Jeremiah had said.
