Johanan's Disregard of the Advice

So Johanan, who had already decided in his heart to go to Egypt went into Egypt and took Jeremiah with him. The people had only contempt for Jeremiah's warning and they refused to believe that Jeremiah's words were the words of God. Again Jeremiah prophesied of their doom at the hands of the King of Babylon who would soon pursue them into Egypt.
