Job Questions God

Click here to read Job 7.

Chapter 7 continues Job's plea for death. He longs for each day to end then when night comes, he longs for daybreak. His skin is filled with worms and blackness, it is filled with corruption. Soon he will die, so he sees no reason why he cannot speak his bitterness now.

"Am I some kind of monster that you never let me have any peace?" "Even in my dreams I find no rest." "I would rather die than go on like this." "What am I, a mere man, that you should spend your time persecuting me?" "Must you test me every minute of the day?" "You don't let me alone long enough to spit." "Has my sin harmed you, O Lord?" "Why have you made me the target of your persecution?" "Why no just pardon my sin for soon I will lie down in the dust and die?"
