Chapter 8 brings the third of Job's "friends" into the picture. Bildad was of the same opinion as Eli-hu and Eli-phaz. He believed that Job was a wicked man and deserved the wrath of God. However, he to extends some hope and council and believes, like his friends, that if Job would confess his sins and repent that God would forgive him and restore all that He had taken from him.
Notice Bildad's council to Job. "How long will you go around blowing words like the wind?" "Do you really think that God twists justice?" "If you were pure and good God would hear your prayer and bless you with a happy home." "Read the history books for the wisdom of the pass will teach you that those who forget God have no hope." "A man without God is trusting in a spiders web, everything he counts on will collapse." "If he counts on his home for security, it won't last." "Man is like a green plant with roots down in the garden, soon it will whither and disappear and won't even be missed." " Others will spring up to replace you." "But take care, God will not case away a good man, He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and those who hate you will be clothed in shame."
