Chapter 32 brings a moderator upon the scene. Eli-hu was chosen to be the man. It appears that he was a descendant of Abraham. He apologized for being so bold as to speak to the question that had been so eloquently argued by his seniors. He admits that he did not have the experience of an old man, but that he had patiently listened to all that was said and that he had something new to offer. He claimed impartiality and spoke so well that Job made on effort to listen.
It seems that Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophur refused to reply any more to Job because of Job's insistence on his innocence. So Elihu, who for the most part up till now had remained silent, can remain so no longer. He has listened to the accusers and he has listened to the accused. He deems that the accusers had been to unyielding in their accusations and the accused had refused to admit that he had sinned. Of the accusers he complained that not one of them had proved their case. Now they set there baffled and unable to say anything else. So Elihu could wait no longer. In spite of his age he did possess some intelligence and he was busting to speak, "But don't insist that I be cautious, lest I insult someone, let me be frank less God should strike me dead."
