Land yet to be Conquered

Chapter 13 begins the account of the dividing up of the land. Joshua was growing old and there was still much to be done. The following were portions of Canaan that still to be conquered.

  1. All the land of the Philistines and the Gershurites.
  2. Canaanite land to the south and west.
  3. The land of the Av-vim in the south.
  4. Some remaining land of the Canaanites in the north.
  5. The Gebalites on the coastal area.
  6. The Lebanon Mountains.
  7. Baal-gar near Mt. Hermon.
  8. The land belonging to Sidon on the north coastal area.

Joshua had done his part soon it would be up to the individual tribes to secure and enlarge their inheritances and drive out the above people from their land.
