Chapter 21 records what was done to keep the Tribe of Benjamin from dying out. After the destruction of the Benjaminites, the people of Israel repented for what they had done. They then gave permission for 200 young Benjaminites to lay in wait in the vineyards of Shiloh and when the young ladies came out to dance in honor of the Feast of Tabernacles, each man could catch him a wife and carry her away to his own country.
After this, the armies of Israel were disbanded and every man went home to his own tribe and did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord.
