Micah's Prophesy of Judgment

Click here to read Micah 1.

Micah proclaims the coming of the Lord in Judgment upon the earth. He's coming because of the sins of Judah and Samaria. Idolatry and oppression that is centered in their capitol cities. Therefore the entire city of Samaria will crumble and become an open field. Micah says that he will wail and mourn for the peoples wound is far to deep to heal.

The Lord stands ready at Jerusalem's gates to punish her. Woe to the city of Gath, Bakah, Bethleaphrah, Shaphar, Zaanan, and Bethezel. The people vainly hope for better days but only bitterness awaits them, as the Lord stands poised against Jerusalem. Weep for your little ones for they will be taken away and you will never see them again, they will be gone as slaves to a distant land.
