Chapter 25 records how Balak gets back, to a degree, at the people of Israel. Balak knew that the strength of Israel lay in their God. He was successful in separating them for a season with the sin of lust. The daughters of Moab enticed the sons of Israel. They led them into adultery and idolatry. This sin brought God's judgment upon Israel. Every man that had committed sin with a Moabite woman, would be killed. By this judgment, 24,000 Israelite men lost their lives.
