Chapter 36 deals with another problem relative to the "daughters of Zelofehad. You may recall that back in Numbers Chapter 26, a man by the name of Zelofehad who was a member of the Tribe of Manasseh, had only daughters as heirs. Moses decided at that time, that these girls would receive their father's inheritance in the Promise Land. The problem now arises, what would happen if these girls married a man from another tribe, how would the inheritance be handled. God resolves the problem by declaring that they could marry only men of the tribe of Manasseh.
