The Author says that we shall eat the fruit of our own way. The wise choose repentance and salvation, the foolish choose to harden their hearts and become worldly. The second Proverb applies to those who are willing to be taught.
Verses 1 thru 9, shows how, if we use diligence, the grace and knowledge of God is obtainable.
Verses 10 thru 15, shows the value of obtaining this knowledge. It will protect us from the snares of evil men.
Verses 16 thru 19, shows an additional value of this knowledge, protection from evil women.
Verses 20 thru 22, shows us how we can use this wisdom when we receive it. Wisdom is of littler value if it is not properly used.
