Many believe that this chapter is the most excellent of the whole book. It argues to persuade us to religion, and it gives us directions on how to observe religion.
Verses 1 thru 4, advises that we must be constant in our observance of religion, be cause that is the secret of its happiness.
Verses 5 thru 6, advises that dependence upon God is the only safe way to live.
Verses 7 thru 8, advises us to fear God because this is the beginning of wisdom. It also is a good motivator to good living.
Verses 9 thru 10, advises us to be good stewards of our possessions because that is the way to eternal riches.
Verses 11thru 12, advises us to bear our afflictions well, because that is the way we gain strength.
Verses 13 thru 20, advises us again to seek after and obtain wisdom, as this is the secrete to a good life.
Verses 21 thru 26, advises us to govern our lives by the wisdom of God. This will always stand you in good stead. Again, wisdom is the secrete to a good life.
