Wisdom must be refreshed repeatedly in our lives because it is worth it and because we are prone to forget and often predigest against it. Here Solomon repeats much of what he has said thus far with a variety of expressions and divine enlightenment.
Verses 1 thru 13, is an exhortation on the need for us to continually study the wisdom of the lord. He acknowledges that much of the wisdom that he has, he got from his Father. That wisdom came with arguments attached.
Verses 14 thru 19, is a warning about the associating with evil people. Those who are busy with the "unfruitful works" of darkness.
Verses 20 thru 27, contain directions for the obtaining and the preserving of wisdom. So plainly does Solomon present this that we are forever without excuse.
