A Warning About the Lusts of the Flesh

Here Solomon recalls his own youth and that of his father, David and feels obligated to tell young men about the evils of following the lusts of the flesh.

Verses 1 thru 5, suggest that keeping our minds on the word of God, will help us to keep our minds off the things of the flesh.

Verses 6 thru 23, suggests that young men are particularly vulnerable to this sin and must make a particular effort to avoid it.

Verses 24 thru 27, suggests the all man, not just young men, recognize and stay away from all temptations that might read us into this sin. We should all pray..."Lord, lead us not into temptation".
