This chapter declares that there are two rivals for the soul of man, Christ and Satan. Both are constantly at word for its possession. The resolution of these two efforts means the difference between life or death.
Verses 1 thru 6, here we see that Christ works under the name of Wisdom. He invites us to enter into communion with Him. We do this by accepting Him as our Lord and Savior.
Verses 7 thru 9, reveals the success that Christ will have in this war for the souls of man.
Verse 10, describes what Christ demands from us as his people.
Verse 11, describes what he had in store for us as His people.
Verse 12, declares that once we have been enlightened by the word of God, that the choice is up to us.
Verses 13 thru 16, describes sin as liken to a foolish woman, who courts the attention of men for money.
Verses 17 thru 18, the endeavors of the foolish woman may seem very charming but you must choose whom you will serve, God or Satan.
