Proverbs 11
In this chapter we have 28 more doctrinal truths by Solomon.
- A false balance angers the Lord. A just balance delights the Lord.
- Pride brings shame, but humility brings wisdom.
- Integrity shall guide the upright, but the wicked shall be destroyed.
- Riches are of no prophet in the day of wrath, but righteousness will
deliver you from death.
- Righteousness shall direct the perfect, wickedness shall destroy the
evil.
- Life's expectations die with the wicked.
- The righteous is delivered out of trouble, the wicked are not.
- The mouth of the hypocrite destroys his neighbor, but by knowledge
shall the righteous be delivered.
- The city rejoices when it goes well for the righteous, they also
rejoice when the wicked perish.
- The wicked despises his neighbor, but the just man keeps his peace.
- When there is no council, the people perish.
- He that is surety for a stranger is a fool.
- A gracious woman retains honor and a strong man retains riches.
- A merciful man does good for his own soul, but the cruel man does
not.
- Deceitful works come from the wicked but the righteous shall receive
a reward.
- The righteous works in the strength of the Lord, the evil in their
own strength.
- Hypocrisy is an abomination to the Lord, the straightforward are his
delight.
- The wicked shall be punished, the righteous shall be delivered.
- A jewel of gold in a pig's snout is like a woman without discretion.
- The righteous desire to do good, but the evil expect wrath.
- Charity produces wealth, selfishness produces poverty.
- Those who practice liberality shall prosper.
- He who stores corn shall be cursed but he who sells shall be blessed.
- He who seeks good shall find favor but he that does mischief shall
be condemned.
- He that trusts his riches shall fall but he who trusts the Lord
shall prosper.
- He that brings trouble upon his own house shall reap the wind and
the fool shall be a servant to the wise.
- The fruit of righteousness is the tree of life.
- The righteous shall be compensated in this world.
