A Soft Answer Turns Away Wrath

- A soft answer turns away anger but a grievous one stirs up anger.
- The tongue of the wise man speaks wisdom but the tongue of the
foolish man speaks foolishness.
- The eyes of the Lord are everywhere beholding he evil and the good.
- A wholesome tongue is a tree of life but a wicked tongue is a breach
of the spirit.
- A fool despises his father's instructions but the prudent son obeys
them.
- There is much treasurer in the house of the wise but the reward of
the wicked is trouble.
- The lips of the wise disperse knowledge but the foolish do not.
- The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord but the
prayer of the upright is his delight.
- The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord but the way of
the righteous is His delight.
- correction is grievous to the wicked and he that hates to be
counseled shall die.
- Hell and destruction is real to the Lord, how much more should it be
to men.
- A scorner does not appreciate being counseled neither will he
voluntarily go to the wise.
- A merry heart makes a cheerful face but a sad heart breaks the
spirit.
- The understanding heart seeks knowledge but the heart of fools do
not.
- All the days of the afflicted are evil but the days of the merry is
a continuous feast.
- Better to have little with the fear of the Lord than to have much
with trouble.
- Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a dinner of roast
beef where hatred dwells.
- A wrathful man stirs up strife but he that is slow to anger brings
peace.
- The way of the lazy is like a bush of thorns but the way of the
diligent is like a plain bush.
- A wise son makes his father glad but a fool despises his mother.
- Folly is joy to the man who is without wisdom but the upright man
has understanding.
- Without council man's proposes are disappointing but in the
multitude of councilors, there is satisfaction.
- There is joy in words spoken when and where they are needed.
- The way of the wise is toward heaven that he may not see the hell
below.
- The Lord will destroy the house of the proud but he will establish
the house of the widow.
- The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord but the
words of the pure are pleasant to Him.
- He that is greedy has trouble but he that gives gifts shall live.
- The righteous carefully studies his answer but the wicked speaks
without thinking.
- The Lord is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the
righteous.
- The ability to see god's creation rejoices the heart and those of a
good report are strengthened.
- The ear of the wise can hear the reproofs of life.
- He that refuses instruction despises his own soul but he that hears,
gets understanding.
- The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom and honor is the
instruction of humility.
