- A man who desires wisdom must separate himself from everything that
might keep us from our goal.
- A fool has no delight in understanding only in his own talk.
- Contempt and despicable are the wicked.
- An intelligent man has within him a treasure of useful things.
- It is not good to accept the word of the wicked in the judgment of
the righteous.
- A fool's lips cause quarrels.
- A fool's mouth will be his destruction.
- The words of a gossip bring wounds to the uttermost.
- Being lazy is akin to being a great waster.
- The word of God is a strong refuge and the righteous run into it and
are safe.
- A rich man's wealth is his security like a house built on sand.
- The heart of a haughty man brings destruction and the heart of a
humble man brings honor.
- It is folly for a man to answer a question before he hears it.
- A good spirit is good medicine but a wounded spirit is of no support.
- The heart of the prudent man and the ear of the wise man getteth
knowledge.
- A man's gift will accomplish much it will open doors for him.
- A defendant's testimony seems just but his neighbor must
cross-examine him.
- The casting of lots (seeking God's will) resolves contentions even
for the mighty.
- A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city.
- A man shall be satisfied with the words of his mouth.
- Life and death are in the power of the tongue and they that use it
shall reap the fruit of it.
- Whoever finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor with the
Lord.
- The poor are submissive and humble but the rich are arrogant.
- A man must be friendly to have friends for a friend is closer than a
brother.
