The Fool, the Sluggard, the Lazy and the Wise
In this chapter we have 30 more doctrines by Solomon.
- Strong drink will make a man a fool whoever is deceived by it is not
wise.
- It is unwise to provoke the king to anger.
- A wise man will not look for an argument but a fool wise seek one.
- The lazy man will not plow because it is cold therefore can he ask
for food at the harvest?
- Some men of wisdom are like deep water it are hard to draw upon
their knowledge but there are men of understanding who can do this.
- Most men will blow their own horn but a modest man is hard to find.
- The just man walks in his integrity and his children are blessed by
him.
- The king that sets upon a throne of judgment, not a throne of honor
but a throne of service will scare away evil with his own eyes.
- Who can say that they are with out sin? I have a clean heart.
- In accurate weights and measurers are an abomination to the Lord.
- Even a child is known by what he does.
- The ear that hears and the eye that sees are made by the Lord.
- Work not sleep will overcome poverty and get you bread.
- He downgrades the product to buy and then goes away boasting.
- There is gold and there are precious stones but the lips of
knowledge is of more value.
- The garment of a stranger is surety for a loan but a pledge is
surety for a woman.
- Sin may be pleasant while we are doing it but afterwards it the
conscience condemns us.
- In every act seek council with good advise make war.
- Never go around with a gossip.
- Whoever curses his father or his mother shall live in darkness.
- An inheritance gotten in haste shall not be a blessing.
- Do not revenge evil this is the Lord's work.

- If a man's doings are of the Lord, how can he understand his own
ways?
- Misuse of holy things is a snare to a man and a vow to do recompense
is empty.
- A wise king scatters the wicked and brings the full intent of the
law upon them.
- A man's spirit is the light that the Lord uses to search his inner
thoughts.
- Mercy and truth are the kings virtues they will uphold his thrown.
- The glory of young men is their strength and the beauty of old men
is their gray hair.
- Punishment that burses discourages evil as stripes cause the bones
to ache.
