- When you set down to eat with a king consider the consequences of
the invitation.
- Restrain your self and eat sparingly at the table of a king.
- Be careful of the dainties of the king's table for they rich in fat
and hard on the stomach.
- Seek not riches but follow your own wisdom.
- Richs soon fly away as an eagle.
- Accept not the invitation of a man who secretly grudges what you eat.
- For as a man thinks in his heart, so he is.
- Food eaten at a grudges table may not stay down and then both of you
may have harsh words.
- Do not speak words to a fool for hr will despise your wisdom.
- Do not remove old landmarks nor take advantage of the fatherless.
- The fatherless have the Lord as their advocate, He will plead their
cause.
- Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to knowledge.
- Do not withhold punishment from a child for the rod will not kill
him.
- Punishment will deliver his soul from hell.
- If the son's heart is wise the father will rejoice.
- If the son speaks right things the father shall rejoice.
- Do not envy sinners but always fear the Lord.
- The day will come when fear of the Lord will pay off.
- Listen to the words of your father and be wise it will guide your
heart in the right way.
- Do not be a drunkard not a glutton.
- Gluttons and drunkards shall come to poverty for it deadens the mind.
- Listen to your father and love your mother when she is old.
- Buy truth, wisdom, instruction and understanding and sell them not.
- The father of a wise and righteous child shall have much joy from
him.
- The father and mother of a wise child shall rejoice.
- Give your father all of your attention and observe his ways.
- A prostitute is like a deep ditch or a pit; it is extremely
difficult to get out of it.
- A prostitute lays in wait for her prey and increases the number of
sinners.
- No one has problems without cause.
- They that drink much wine have red eyes.
- Drink not fermented wine.
- Fermented wine bites like a snake.
- When you are drunk your eyes will behold strange women.
- When you are drunk your eyes will be blurred and your walk unsure.
- When you sober up you will condemn those who filled you with wine,
who seduced you and beat you but then you will do it again.
