An Assurance of Hope

Click here to read Psalms 12.

Psalm 12 Author David. The pure words of the Lord. It was written to the chief musician and was to be played upon harps. It was written during the reign of Saul, during a period of religious decay. He prays for Gods help and assures others that no matter how bad things get; God will preserve them and make good His promises to them.

During the latter part of Saul's reign there was serious moral decay in Israel. David saw this and here begs for God's help because, looking around, he could see no one whom he could trust. He does, however, believes and trusts that God will eventually destroy the wicked and assures himself and others that no matter how bad things get; God will preserve and protect them.
