Thanksgiving for Deliverance

Click here to read Psalms 18.

Psalm 18 Author David. Written to the chief musician on the day that the Lord delivered him from the hand of Saul. Taken almost word for word from II Sam. 22. The "piety" far exceeds the poetry. Faith, love, joy, phrase and hope are expressed in grateful thanksgiving.

Here David acknowledges that his deliverance came from the Lord and magnifies the immensity of it. He takes great comfort in that he believes that his integrity has now been re-established. He gives God the glory for all his triumphs and achievements. He has great joy in anticipation of what further God may have in store for him.
