Psalm 28 Author David. Rejoice because of answered prayer. It begins with a prayer of distress and ends with a prayer of thanksgiving. This is an interesting Psalm in that it can be read one of two ways. David was either in distress and anticipated God's deliverance or he had been delivered already and was reflecting upon it.
Matthew Henry believes that it is both. He believes that verses 1 thru 5 is a prayer of distress and that verses 6 thru 8 are expressions of thanksgiving for deliverance already received. Verse 1, "Unto three, O Lord, will I cry.........hear the voice of my supplications." Verse 6, "Blessed be the Lord for He has heard my supplications... and I am helped."
