God's Grace Toward Man

Click here to read Psalms 33.

Psalm 33 Author unknown. God considers the work of all men. The author calls upon the "righteous" to phrase God for His consideration of man, His justice, His power, His sovereignty and His favor.

It is very possible that David wrote this Psalm also. He calls for phrase, "Rejoice in the Lord, all Ye righteous, for phrase should come from the upright." He then give us reasons why we should phrase God; His love, His justice and His goodness. By His power he created all things. "For He spoke, and it was done." He speaks of "God's Sovereignty" in the lives of men. "The Lord takes the council of the heathen and makes it contrary to what it was designed to do but blessed is the people of God whose design is in the Lord." So the Author suggests that we need not be at a loss in the reading of this Psalm which expresses sincere affections of a devout person toward God, if our thoughts are in accordance with God's thoughts.
